Author, Melissa C. Water
I’m Melissa C. Water; author of memoir “Lady Injury,” as well as the science-fiction series for young adults, “Saving Honor,” and “Death and I.”
All the stories on this site are my own; crafted with care.
This blog is not a traditional update to my day-to-day, but rather a place to share my short stories. Some of these works are complete fiction while others I classify as creative non-fiction.
You can find me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram @MelissaCwater

“Her smile didn’t mean her suffering was over, but when it appeared it was something beautiful to see; a rare flower.”

“We both knew what it was to hurt our bodies. It’s a strange reason to bond with someone, but I think we both needed to feel understood, and, even though we couldn’t love ourselves, we could love each other.”

Hello ma’am, hope you’re doing well. I’m a PhD student of English literate and need your help. I’m talking your book Lady Injury for my PhD research on mental health but I wished to know that in between the book have you anywhere mentioned that reading a piece of literature helped you too in between? That is, any novel, poetry and fiction, any literature did it ever help you and in case it did, have you mentioned it in the book Lady Injury? Please revert soon.
Regards,
Shivangi
